invites applicants to take part in an  

open hiring procedure  

regarding vacancies at the Department of Legal History, namely 1 part-time position (0.5 of full-time equivalent) as an academic (lecturer or assistant professor) in Roman Law, and 1 part-time position (0.5 of full-time equivalent) as an academic (lecturer or assistant professor) in History of Law  

Requirements: 

• Completed university degree in law; 
• Completed doctoral study (Ph.D. degree); 
• Pedagogical and research experience in Roman Law / History of Law; 
• Czech language proficiency at C1 level required;   
• Competence in the English language is required and one more foreign language is an advantage; 
• Publications focusing on Roman Law / History of Law; 
• Experience in formulating, obtaining and solving grant projects is an advantage; 
• Knowledge of Latin. 

Expected commencement of work: October 2023 

Applicants are to submit:  

• An application for the position (in the form of a simple letter or a motivation letter);  
• Professional curriculum vitae;  
• Documents proving their completed university education and granted scholarly degrees;  
• An outline of their scholarly research and teaching experience;  
• A list of publications; 
• Opinion regarding the conception of pedagogical and scholarly activities within branches covered by the Department of Legal History (https://www.prf.cuni.cz/magisterske-studium/studijni-program-pravo-a-pravni-veda-od-20202021)
