Department of Administrative Law and Administrative Science
- The Department provides teaching of courses on administrative law, which address an overview of major administrative measures and the system of protection of individual rights by means of administrative justice.
- The Department also provides teaching of elective courses, which are devoted to various areas of public administration – for example, access to information, migration law, law of museums and galleries, media law, construction law, nuclear law etc.
- The Department also offers elective courses in English (International Administrative Law, Common European Asylum System, International Aviation Law and Minority Languages in Law - Contested Issues of (In)equality) and in German (Einführung in das Schweizerische Verfassungs- und Verwaltungsrecht).
- In order to promote skills-based learning, our department also organises a "Moot Court in Administrative Law" for pre-graduate students.
- Within the 4 EU+ European University Alliance 4, the Department cooperates with partners from Geneva (Digital Law Centre), Copenhagen (WELMA - Centre for Legal Studies in Welfare and Market) and Milan (CERIDAP - Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Public Administration) on projects, addressing introduction of artificial intelligence, algorithmic administrative decision-making and smart cities.
- The Department also implements an agreement on scientific and pedagogical cooperation in the field of comparative administrative law with the University of Naples "Federico II", within the framework of which doctoral and master's students are exchanged.
- Also, members of the Department have been involved in the research projects of the Spanish National Scientific Agency, entitled ADMAIES (La mejora de las decisiones administrativas mediante el uso de IA, la experimentación y los sandboxes: especial atención al ámbito urbano y de vivienda).
