What to do when…
WHAT TO DO DURING A SECURITY INCIDENT
- Take action! In case of a serious incident, do not hesitate and dial 158 immediately.
- Get yourself away from the threat. Always try to escape to safety.
- Consider your evacuation route. The place where you are heading must be safer than the place you are leaving.
- Ask yourself: “Is it safer to be inside, or outside?”
- Do not think about hypothetical scenarios, as this could paralyse you.
- React to what you actually see and feel.
- Remember the basic rule for explosions: “Walls are good, glass is bad.”
- In case of an explosion, protect yourself behind something solid, not behind glass structures.
- Warn other people around you. Say aloud what you are doing, to let them know what is happening and to help them respond appropriately. If necessary, the police will evacuate the area.

KISS System
The University Crisis Information and Notification System (KISS) is a support tool for warning, notifying, and assembling students and employees of the University during life-threatening situations and other serious incidents.
The KISS system provides information by sending text messages, emails, voice messages, or a combination of these means of communication.
Once the system is activated, automatic messages are sent to different groups of persons according to the given situation on the basis of pre-defined scenarios (for example, to students of the Faculty where a crisis situation is occurring, the fire watch patrol if a fire is reported, the crisis management team of the Faculty/University, etc.)
Due to technical reasons, there may be a time delay when a large number of messages is being sent through the KISS system.
It is therefore essential to warn others around you who could be in imminent danger.Contact information for the KISS system
