The study program “Specialised Law Studies” is a new Master’s program taught in English, offering specialized legal education focused on contemporary challenges in a changing global context. Unique in its emphasis on the European perspective, the program combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills, preparing students to address legal issues in international — particularly European — environments.

The goal of the program is to provide students with a deep understanding of the European context of law-making and law application in a rapidly changing world. The program emphasizes critical analysis and the ability to apply both legal principles and specific legal norms across various contexts.

Human Rights Law:

This specialization focuses on the legal protection of human rights in both European and global contexts, including judicial protection, the implementation of international treaties, and current challenges such as migration, minority rights, and freedom of expression.

Within the field of Human Rights Law, graduates will gain knowledge of international and European instruments governing human rights, as well as comparative insights into constitutional protection of human rights in selected countries.

Graduates of the program will be equipped with advanced skills in applying international and European legal standards to both domestic and cross-border cases. Through an interactive and practice-oriented teaching approach, they will acquire strong professional competencies in legal analysis, reasoning and argumentation, taking into account current jurisprudence from international and European courts, as well as the latest developments in this area of specialization.
