Application timeline:

As of 1 December 2025, an electronic application form will be available HERE. The application, including its attachments, must be sent in the electronic system no later than by 23:59:59 on 30 April 2026.

 

Application requirements:

An applicant who completed their tertiary education at a university/higher educational institution abroad will present, for the purposes of proving what education they have attained, any of the following documents:

 

1.

a) A certificate of general recognition in the Czech Republic of the attainment of a university/higher education degree abroad (a so-called general recognition certificate)

or

b) A document proving the attainment of a university/higher education degree abroad which is equivalent to Czech degrees without a need for any further official procedure.

or

c) A foreign document proving the attainment of higher education abroad, which will be assessed by the Faculty itself, for a fee.

An authenticated copy of the document mentioned above should prove the completion of university/higher education (at least at the bachelor or a corresponding level) in the field of law, or in another field related to the subject of the specialisation selected, including the transcript of courses completed. If the study has not yet been completed, it is necessary to present a certificate of ongoing studies in the relevant academic year.

A structured resumé.

A motivation letter not exceeding 2 pages, which should establish the applicant’s motivation for studying the relevant specialisation and outline the applicant’s career goals after the completion of the programme of study.

(All documents listed above are to be submitted in English. Documents in other languages must be officially translated into English, except documents under 1. b), which may be submitted either in the Czech language or Slovak language, provided that they have been issued in those languages.)

Fee for the application for study - the filing of an application and the acts associated with the admissions procedure are subject to a fee of CZK 940.

 

An entrance examination follows after the submission of the application.
