ICON-S 2026 Conference in Dublin: Representatives of the Faculty of Law, Charles University, at the Largest Public Law Conference

From June 29 to July 1, 2026, University College Dublin (UCD) hosted the annual conference of the International Society of Public Law (ICON•S), one of the largest and most significant academic events dedicated to public law in the world. This year's edition was titled "Reimagining Public Law for a Fractured World – Technology, Identity & Truth" and was hosted by the UCD Centre for Constitutional Studies together with the UCD Sutherland School of Law.

The conference brought together more than 2,088 scholars from around the world, who met across more than 600 panels spread over three days. Among the participants were also a number of members of the Faculty of Law, Charles University.

This year's edition was also marked by remembrance of Professor Ran Hirschl, one of the co-founders of ICON•S, who recently passed away and to whose memory a special plenary session was dedicated.

Lukáš Lev Červinka also took an active part in the conference: he co-authored the program for one of the panels, presented his own contributions, and was also a member of the conference's preparatory committee.
